There were many little performances on the streets in town.. and many little shops selling cute stuff too!

It's just damn crowded at this time of the year! Argh..

I had Minestrone soup and Lobster and Scallops Set...

Watched "Perhaps Love" at Lido .. It's quite nice! Like i thought it maybe cheesy but it's alright...

It's kinda like 3/4 Moulin Rouge and 1/4 Chicago musical thingie..

Went to DFS to help a friend search for a nice perfume to give his sister-in-law...

The Givenchy one's relatively cheap and the scent is damn nice! N the bottle's pink.. die.. feel like getting one myself!

My friend jio me for Karoke session at Lucky Chinatown's K-ster!

Paris Pt II

Here's Part II... It's coLd!

Grand Arche - this cube shaped building was meant to represent the many arches that Paris' famous for..

You can take the lift which gives you a full view of the city but we didn't get on la.. just up to the steps..

La Defense at La Defense station - The business district/office centre in Paris with the skyscrapers built in Modernist style..

PAUL is like the most famous bakery in Paris! The food there's not too bad... but not like vavavoom leh..

There are portable toilets where you can put coins in and it'd open up, but use only for 3 mins cos after that it opens up!

Heard it's cos they didn't want people having sex in there.. ha

Took train to Anvers station where we walked up the street to..

Magnificant Sacre Coeur!! It's really beautiful.. Like i was just wowing non stop!

It's built on top of Montmartre hill..and is like THE catholic church of Paris..

Folks can choose to walk up OR take a tram...

Guess what we chose?! haha

There we are.. at the top of the area, just outside the church..

Breathtaking view.. you can see the whole of the city centre from here..

Not allowed to take pics in the church, but I managed one before they stopped me!

It's damn nice! It's all but just in me memory.. They were having a mass n the choir sang..

The little streetwalk area with gazillion artists displaying their many works and doing portraits of people...

That green thing is a water fountain.. but no water that day leh..

The mini tram that didn't seem to be moving ard at all.. ha

A guy who just stands still.. reminds me of those located in our local Mrt link from Lido huh..

I also found out that our very own Crazy Horse in Clarke Quay is a franchise from Paris!

The metro is damn amusing la! They have all sorts of people just trying to earn some mula by either singing or performing acts!

I gave some money.. support the aspiring talents!

Changed train at Charles de Gaule Etoile to Trocadero..

There were some statues outside the Trocadero Theatre.. or is it a hotel? not too sure.. heh

So pretty!!!!

I wanted to join the queue and get up Effiel Tower.. But can you see HOW freaking long it is?!??!?!!?

N that is NOT it.. it spans like times SIX of what you see her...

Underneath the towering Effiel..

Walked towards the French Military Academy, across a large patch of grass land...

The glass pieces have Peace signs and words written all over...

We then took metro and alighted at Opera to see the Opera House...

Galeries LaFayette! It's a damn HUGE retail store.. prices are rather high though...

Heard it's been compared to the Harrods in London...

The glass ceiling is very attractive!

There were Xmas carolers singing on the streets too..

Had jap food for lunch at Sapporo...

The statue of Joan of Arc...

N Jardin de Tuileries... where we saw the Wheel in Paris Pt I, remember?

The Louvre and the Pyramid in Daylight!

My friend got us in for FREE.. heh

There's the well known portrait of Mona Lisa.. It's enclosed in this glass case..

Not allowed to take pics actually.. but you know me la.. chop!

The place is DAMN Big.. one day confirm can't walk finish so got to be selective..

Easy to get lost also if you don't get your directions right..

This winged statue is a symbol of French freedom..

So, it used to be a castle with a surrounding moat..

They still had reminents of the castle bits left..

That used to be a well.. I stuck my head in and it's super dupz smelly!

The Louvre taken against the sunset.. so lovely right!

This inverted pyramid is the final landmark in the book, Da Vinci Code..

Took metro to Stalingrad after changing at Blanche to... Moulin Rouge!!!

We just took pics outside la.. didn't check out the cabaret dance inside..

Next time!!

Bastille - the area used to be a prison fortress to house the rebels during the French Revolution..

Now there's the Opera de Bastille monument erected in commemoration of that era and also an amusement park next to it...

The crepes are famous there! so i tried one in a Crepe Shop!! Banana and choco..

Wanted to try the Nutella one but didn't cos quite ex leh.. Singapore go Marche also can eat.. ha.

But not as thin and soft as the one in Paris though...

We also walked a little Xmas market just before heading back..

Just some B/W shots taken...

1) outside Sacre Couer against the sunlight
2) just opposite Effiel Tower.. my friend was feeding the pigeons but I didn't catch them in time!

I LOVE PARIS!!!

It's my 2nd fave European city thus far, next to Rome!!

These two places must see in flesh then shiok.. I just love sightseeing in Europe la.. :)

Paris Pt I

Too many pics! So i'm splitting them up.. maybe will do Part II tmr or whenever la...

PARIS - "City of Lights"

Met my friends and our first stop's to Arc De Triomphe... It is the WORLD's largest triumphal arch

There're many arcs in Paris, and many of them are aligned straight, forming a star shaped configuration leading here...

To Champs Elysees the shopping street, where most of the branded stuff are about.. Nice lights and buildings..

I saw a rainbow!!

The BIGGEST LV shop is HERE! I bought a wallet for my dad...

Went into some cafe to get a quick bite... Paris pastry is famous! But i still find it a tad too hard for me liking...

It's winter so daylight is really short.. got dark pretty fast...

The night lights of Paris city...

This river cuts Paris into eastern and western sides, so we were in the centre!

The Effiel Tower lit up! It lights up every hour after it turns dark...

A romantic walkway along the riverside...

A polaroid cam! I always found it cute! But i'd never get one cos of its impracticality!

My totally Frenchified friend (on left) studying in Paris now...

Clockwise from top left: A justice of court building...

We walked along Cours de La Reine to Place de La Concorde where we saw the wheel at Jardin des Tuileries, as well as the Obelisque...

A church, St. Madeleine...

Hotel Royale along Rue de Rivoli...

Buddha Bar along Rue St. Honore..

We also checked out the very famous Costes Hotel along the same street...

This is how Paris washes its streets i heard... But i feel its like dirtier leh..

Me standing under some Xmas decoration...

Did you read Da Vinci Code? Well, my friend told me this is one of the trail sign he followed.. I read it but dun really rem.. ha.

See? Someone stole one of the signs!

Musee de Louvre and the Pyramids! Took night shots cos closed already..

Here's the last point of the arcs line i heard.. and the Effiel Tower still in sight...

Took the train to St Michel to eat at Le Reminet...

My friend reserved seats... It's like fine dining and the food was superb!

My friend and his friends... I had lamb leg.. I like mine done medium rare! and then had Cream Brulee... slurp!

There's a pic of Lizard Lounge, a club we wanted to check out after dinner but didn't..

That's Notre Dame! Didn't head in cos it was closed as well, my friend said it's very serene inside...

We walked along St. Germain where all the bars/ cafes/ ice creams/ crepes shops were located...

Took train to Les Halles where my friend wanted to show me some sculptures, particularly this one with the Hand..

The French National Museum of Modern Art building that's very interestingly built at Pompidou center...

This street (forgot name) is known for its pretty lights!

In front of Hotel de Ville, there's this ice skating rink built! It's only there during winter time..

There were many people skating although it was really cold!
