Shanghai!



Took cab to Qi Pu Lu!

But the side street was under renovation i think.. was a mess!




Wet Market just next to Xiangyang...

First time I walked through despite the many times I've been to Xiangyang...

Didn't buy much though.. thought I would but wasn't really in the shopping mood.. Was hungry!

I slept till late afternoon then head out with a colleague...





This chicken rice stall is set up by a Singaporean!




Finally! THe teppanyaki shop I walked all over to find!

My colleague and I just kept on walking cos i had a craving for this!

N guess what? It was right at where we started walking from! N i've been here twice before. tsk.

One big round! I must have been so blind to miss it! Argh.

But the food was good so no complains there.

Only thing was that someone ordered frog or sth and the chef cooked it IN front of me and its WHOLE BODY bobbed up and down...

WA LAN!!!!




Huai Hai Lu.. like the high end part of Shanghai... Somehow this area is like clean and neat..

It's night scenary's beautiful aye..




We attempted to find Xin Tian Di!! Have heard heaps bout it but never been there..

It's real nice! Kinda reminds me of Farmer's Grove in L.A! Trendy, classy restaurants and pubs all around..




You'd SURELY not think you're in SHanghai when you see this!

It wasn't really crowded though cos guess it was a weekday after all..

Apparently it's like bustling during the weekends... I can so imagine..

Decided to have a couple of drinks at this nicely decorated and colored pub..

Yes we went for the prettiest looking one there!

Kinda looked better from outside though.. Not really into the chineseY patterns.. bit old foggey-ish i feel leh..

N they were playing trance music! haha

The Past Weekend

Friday...



We were off so my friend jio me for a movie.. "Failure to Launch"

I knew it was gona be some romantic comedy thing when i realised who were acting in it..

N i was right! It's SO sex and the city + how to lose a guy in 10 days!




Went to Shin Bar at Boat Quay where a friend's friend was celebrating her bday...

Popped over to Babyface Level 3 cos it closes quite late and we still wanted to stay out!

There were thai singers and dancers performing! hee. I'm always so amused by them.

I had a Graveyard!! Was high after but good!



Saturday...



A random decision to head into Johore to eat the famous bee hoon!

We had black pepper crab too.. not very yummy though. The rest of the food were!

See that indian guy? Think he's employed to help with the traffic cos it's so popular!

Heard the luminous vest and whistle are his new additions! ha.

He ask me to intro some nice, pretty indian gals to him! N he commented that Uncle's hair was super spikey he also want!

Totally cracked me up. waha.




Uncle's couple friends drove us in.. But they didn't wana take pic.. oRh.

But we did!




Head down to velvet/zouk after.. where I met a few friends...

Yea I've been in sg for awhile already but was rushing to finish up this huge ass project.

Whatever free time I have when i'm not working or out or sleeping, I was jus doin it and I'm finally done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yippeeee!

Blogging was the last thing on my mind but I'm back. Watch out! ha

Went for my gf's grandmother's wake last night. Just wana send my condolenses again. Sorry and hugs gal.

Oh yes! It's my lecturer's bday today and she took the time to meet me in school so i could take this super postponed exam..

She's how freaking sweet! N she can be bothered bout my whining.. Well, i just think it's cos i'm a good student too ma..

Honestly now, I just wana sleep and sleep and sleep and sleep and sleep...

But i'm gona have that famous black pepper crab from Joo Chiat now and hopefully D24 durians if i can later!

Just before I flew off to Switzerland, I went to visit my gf's flea mkt stall at Holland V!

I bought an underwear from her! so supportive ya.. heh

Had thai food for dinner.. yumz




The two prettiest ever! Feeling refreshed cos we slept almost the whole day away..

Taken before heading out to this Italian place for dinner.. I actually didn't take any pics there!

Was jus enjoying the romantic ambience with 5 other colleagues la.. ha




My friend who's a part time DJ!! He won the Green Room Thirst competition in 2003 and opened for Tiesto during his tour in sg 2003 at Zouk!

Cool. He showed me some of his pics with Tiesto and he's gona burn his tracks for me to hear!

Took the tram early next morning to the railway station where the tour buses were parked..

Deciding what to have for breakfast.. hotdogs!

Was supposed to go with two other gals but they dua.. So a pseudo date with my colleague/friend.. ha.

He's my year from AC! Got a few mutual friends..




My friend spotted this little streamline waterfall on the way.. N i hurriedly snapped!

On the way to the Town of Luzern..

A typical Swiss cottage, The streets of Luzern and the fountain..

As well as the beautiful transparent lake... I think i heard the tour guide saying something like this is an olden method of collecting water..




THis church is lovely! One of my faves of all i've seen...

Cos it's jus really unique and different from the typical ancient cathedrals and stuff...

Saw a swan open up its wings.. I haven't never seen a life one do so till now! N there were cute little mandarin duckies too




THe Luzern Bridge. With pictures of its history as you walk through.

It was last burnt in 1993 by this madman who's now put in an asylum.

The tour guide showed us pictures. It looked like it was 90% destroyed can..

Amazing how they restored it so similar to how it was before...

Some of the buildings here have designs painted on them.. If only we could do this in sg!

It's a castle.. I forgot who's living there.. the tour guide mentioned.. ha

So, there're loads of things the Swiss are famous for:
1) their high standard of living and its financial economy
2) Dairy products - milk, cheese, choco
3) Fresh water (heaps of litres melt fr the mountains)
4) Watches

5) Swiss army knife
