Myconos!

In Greece last week...



TOok the bus shuttle and Went to the Flea market in town, in search of getting my name made in Greek...

Missed it the last time i was here cos the stall owner was nowhere to be found..

We waited like 40 mins the last time can..



Found it! Actually i saw this shop that sold the name in Silver which costs E30!!

But i refused and got this name chain for only E5!

I think this Euro coin holder is quite cute...

Had carbonara for dinner near the hotel.. i love how they make it there..

Wanted to go to Glyfada but had to wake up REAL early the next morning to go to Myconos Island..

Where it's known for its sun and fun!

The 7 of us got up at like 5am local time and took a cab down to the jetty..

Ticks cost MUCH more since it's summer time now...

I read my book while on the boat...

Other islands where we stopped over before our final destination..

Myconos!!! oh my!!! it's B E A U T I F U L!!!!

THe waters are super clear and the sun's strong but it's not scorching hot! perfect!

The blue and white buildings remind me of the backdrop of the MaMaMia play i watched in London..

We had lunch at this restaurant.. N this waiter was SO nice/sweet..

He put cloth on our table, whereas the others didn't have,

He also gave a few of us a free 2nd round of drinks,

N also the map of the Myconos island which wld otherwise cost us bit of euros!

THe food was great too.. We so tipped him!

N so i heard there are 3 things you must see before leaving the island:

1) this church

2) these pelicans

3) Windmills

N of course tan in the beaches!

We rented bikes and a car between us... N went around the island..

There are the windmills!

At Paradise Beach, one of the more famous beaches on Myconos island..

While some of us stayed to tan at Paradise beach..

A few of us rode to Super Paradise..

Which is equally nice but kinda further up ahead with lesser crowd..

It was like almost at one end of the island!

We tried to find Hard Rock Cafe only to realise that although it was still on the map,

It actually doesn't exist anymore! Taken over by duno who i think..

THere's a go-kart track as well!

I had ice cream, then our dinner and one of the pilots threw a piece of bread into the lake when he saw a duckie..

The duckie ate it, and then swam away..

Not before long, 2 MORE duckies came!!! N he kept feeding them while we took pictures..

The sun here's great! By the end of the day, i actually got tanner than i normally would if i DID tan!

I like the bronze healthy look but i don't tan well at all!

On the way back, there was this Las Vegas actor who acted in X-files. I wanted a pic with him but was so tired I slept throughout..

Gdbye Myconos, I'll definitely come back and stay longer next time.. :)

WEnt to Dong Dae Mun! THe city area...

It was heaps crowded today cos it was a public holiday! Like some national commeration of those soldiers who died in war or sth...

There are like damn a lot of shops selling skin pdts and make up here!! But it's more ex in korea la..

The Face Shop pdts are cheaper here though...

As usual, the locals thought i was one of them.. Hmmm.

The ice cream is damn kick! there was like this long queue..

I love this ALoe Vera drink from the super mart!




Melbourne was the next trip..

But it was pretty chilly n i didn't bring enough warm wear!

So i didn't call my frens to meet up as well..

I was like the only person on the streets wearing sandals! ha



Just had dinner with some colleagues at this chinese food joint called A1...

Then bought some mags and went back to get cozy in the warm bed!

In Picadilly Circus, where we decided to buy ticks to watch MamaMia!

We had lunch at this place where my colleague recommended..

It's called "World famous Fish and Chips" Self explanatory huh

N yes, it's really yummy!



Went to the Cove, it's this bazaar area, kinda like our Bugis Street in Sg..

I love the atmosphere that much better though, not as crowded and messy,

and there are even places for you to sit and chill out after walking ard shopping..

I didn't get anything but my colleague bought this lovely black pair of boots costing only 10 pounds!




I was itching to head to the "Templar Church" where Sonia n Robert of Da Vinci Code intially thought the Sir Isaac Newton tomb was..

But before that, we made a slight detour and shopped bit in town..

bought a top from H&M! The paper bag's so pretty!





Tada! Exactly how i saw it in the movie! Of course Westminister Abby didn't allow filming rights for the show n i've been there b4 so heck..

N Sir Newton's tomb really is quite far somewhere else in London anyway thus i didn't make a trip there..




More pics within the church.. I bought a book written by the Master Priest of the Church, on his comments on Da Vinci Code..

He laments that the apparent Mary Magdenlene is NOT a 'she' but actually a 'he'.

The so-called 'cleavage' is apparent in the potrait of other males in the drawing as well..

We weren't allowed to, and this usher immediately asked me to switch it off!

HOW did he notice me? I didn't even have my flash on and the audience were standing up! Ha

I LOVE musicals.. really reminded me of the times i performed on stage..

I actually feel i miss it.. Maybe i'd do some free lancing IF i can someday! hmmm.

A group of us, i think 14 of us, went to eat the Famous Duck Rice along BayWaters the next day..

Not 4 seasons no more, but Golden King...

Apparently there's been some tiff and the chef from 4 seasons moved..

Ooh politics, i SO HATE it.

I think this is probably the first time i've seen the grass in Hyde Park look SO green.. it's beautiful!!!

Days of my Life (quite briefly)

Two weeks ago...

The dumb DHL hot air balloon that was rumored that you are able to see the whole of sg when you get in it..

It's totally freaking RUBBISH man, it jus goes up and down and ThaT's It.

THese are pics with my friends (me lovelies) i took at Walas TWO sundays ago!!!

We were mini celebrating the bday of THREE of them!!!

Met a uni schoolmate who told me he sings with the band on Fridays.. will make it a pt to watch him some time..

I walked ard town on the following Monday for research, and watched M.I III! It's quite alright la.. Think the previous two were better..

Had corn! Ultimate. Love it with butter.




Then met up with another fren after, he picked me up at home and we had a drink at Coffee Bean..

He jus got his Cabriolet 330 and wanted to take me for a ride! :)




I worked on Tuesday, Stayed indoors on Wed to do research;

Went out on Thursday to look ard for shops and met my gf to catch up.. So many things to share!



He's Back!!! We watched Da Vinci Code! I read the book and prefer it, the movie's pace is much faster but still interesting enough..

He got me a flubberball .. damn cute! it's a stress ball...

To help me 'cope' with the huge amount of stress I have recently with all that juggling of everything..

Nephews came again on Friday.. I attempted to do bit of work, napped but spent most of the time at home to play with them..




Went to get my hp on Saturday ( the n70) and met gfs for abit to pass one of them a DVD at TCC at Plaza Sing..

She'll be flying to Canada to visit her bf in two days and she wanted to borrow my '24'!

It was so crowded and they were outta stock for n70! I quickly rushed to Cuppage Centre and got the last one! Silver though, not beige..



Had dinner at Dan Ryans with family and then to Newton Circus to meet my gf whose ROM i'll be missing cos will be away for work...

So i gave her a gift i'd gotten for her.. She really liked it! and that's her husband to be! together for 7 yrs can?! First bf...

Went to Clarke Quay with friends after,

There's that nice water sprinkle thingie similar to Bugis'

and there was some Event at Attica but not sure what..

Also some drum band filming their beats, nice! Had dessert at Bakerzin.. Yumz..

T'was a chill out night.. got back early and finished up season II of 24! yay!!!
