Adelaide + ANDY HUI !

Adelaide! My mum came with me... I was so beat after the flight I slept all the way till evening time..

My mum managed to take the free town bus WHILE the shops were still opened though..

Here are the sight of the city.. We walked cos the bus does not operate after 5pm.. ?#$%!

We came to Randall Mall and the Central Plaza but the shops were closed! They close at 5pm. On a weekend??? How sucky.

So i just took some pictures ard and of the area.

They have SUPRE too!! My fave aus shop! But closed. I literally pressed my nose on the window to check out the new season's clothes. Nice!

The shopping arcade, which was closed as well...

We took pics of some buildings ard.. Adelaide has quite nice statues built around the city too...

N here's a map of the tourist attractions in town! They're just located in this long long stretch..

Above left is the STate Library and Museum, and above right is the Adelaide Festival Centre...

Mum and I decided to walk all the way to Northern Adelaide, which is seperated from the City of Adelaide by a bridge...

Here's the stretch of road leading to the bridge, and us on the bridge looking down onto the river and the park! Postcard pic!

St Peter's Cathedral! They were having Sunday mass there.. Didn't take many pics but donated money...

SkyCity Railway Station and Casino!!!

We had dinner here.. They only had three restaurants here.. One was closed, the other was way damn ex and so we landed up at the cafe..

Which had terribly horrible food.. The seafood and veal SUCKED!! N not very cheap oso lor!

I met my friend! I got to know him thru a friend of mine who's Asian and lived in Adelaide since young but now works in Melbourne.. I prolly be mtg him in Jan!

He brought me to the Glenelg Bar for a drink and to check out the place.. They have a live band and a mini casino! I took a "No Smoking" sign for keeping! :P

Us! His car is DAMN chio.. It's red with black rims, i post a pic of it up once before..

It's heaps loud and fast too!!! Way cool.

We sat in an 8 seater MPV the next day to head up to the Wineries! Road Trip! Er, sorta la. ha.

Here's my colleague! He organized it and is also one of the designated drivers..

He is an Australian citizen, having grown up in Perth and holds a PHD!!!!

First stop at Wolf Blass Winery! I tasted wine like no one's business.. haha.

But i tend to like sweet and smooth wines.. I think i've mentioned this like damn alot of times!

My knowledge of wine ain't that great yet though!

I bought a bottle of Pinot Gris.. it's heavenly! N the wines in Australia are so cheap!

Next we went to Gibson Winery.. N yes tried somemore wines.. but they're more known for their Reds...

This dude, i forgot his name, showed us the berries where some of the wines are made from...

This is family business so he helps out...

N that's the thing that you either pour the wine out into, or after gargling you just spit in!

Yea you got to rinse the taste out first before you try each wine so you'd get the actual taste for yourself..

Penfolds!!! This is the most decorated winery of those we went to! At least it had the nicest visual merchandising..

I took this xmas tree thingie to pose with, and it looks as thou i'm smelling it! ha.

My friend picked Lavender grass for us to smell! We put it in the car, real sweet!

But we kept on doing that Australian Wave (ie: swatting the flies away!)

Went to Angas Park in Angasta get some choco, nuts and stuff and then to Red Rooster in Nuriootpa where we had lunch..

I had this meal called "Flayva"... and it pretty much sucked too. Sld have had the chicken.. but i liked the name!

After passing by Eden Valley, we landed in Nunkarrie Farm in Springton! They sell cherries here.. We got to test try first.. Heaps tasty! We got 2 kgs worth!

It's quite ex this season cos the harvest this time ard ain't much...

The lakes and flowers so pretty aye..

Beerenburg Strawberry Farm! They sell many different types of jams and honey and sauces..

Of cos the most famous being its strawberry products...

Then we went to Hahndorf.. It's the oldest German community/city there..

We had to drive past quite a number of places first.. From Springton to Mount Pleasant, then Birdwood, Mt Torrens, Charleston and then Woodside..

The memorial garden and institute...

Had shops which sold interesting items as well...

There's one shop which had things just made from recycled stuff and the remakes were quite ingenious.. and i bought some...

We went into the coffee house where we had a drink before heading back to Adelaide... The decor's rather nostalgic huh..

I had White hot choco and a scone with strawberry jam and cream! yum. Mum had some overly sweet choco nut waffle...

The Fairy Garden that sold gardening materials...

Here's us with a gal colleague taking pics! They're all so nice!!

We headed to Glenelg Beach for dinner.. it was a half an hour drive from our hotel..

The area is serene and the apartments are how pretty! I wana live near the beach too!

I LOVE this pic i took!! Amazing la.. Another postcard pic!

Had this whopping huge seafood platter!!!! Shared it with me mum and another dude la..

We wanted to eat at the most famous seafood restaurant there, Sammy's, but it was damn packed and had to make reservations..

My friend came in his friend's car to pick me up for drinks! He's the cousin of my friend who's now living in Melbourne... They're apparently rather influencial in Ade!

I didn't stay out for too long cos there wasn't much to do in the city cos it was a Monday.. plus i was tired from the day trip..

It's only more alive from Wed - Sat...

Have you ever heard of DRIFTING?!?!?! It's this driving stunt skill that drivers do with their cars..

I've heard of it cos i have this friend who's damn into cars and would show me drifting videos with thumping trance music alongside...

N my friend did it! WHILE i was IN the car!! Whoo hoo!! Finally, i've experienced it in FLESH!!

The feeling was quite shiok, at least now i understand when my friend keeps on going about drifting and how he would fall in love with any gal who can drift... :)

I dragged myself outta bed the next morning to check out the Central Market!

It's only opened on a few days of the week.. I think it's tues, thursday, sat and sun...

Me mum bought like a slab of leg ham for me to lug home.. My bag is like freaking heavy with all the things we got! N none of them are fashion items.. wa.

I came home while she's still there, should be at Kangeroo Island now, back tmr! My mum's one fiesty adventurous woman! Good and bad for me la. HAha

OOH GUESS WHO I saw at the airport?!!

ANDY HUI!!!

With NO one stalking him or security guards.. just this other dude.. Like only I spotted him lor! But then again, the SEA games participants were back too! Super crowded can!

I asked for pics and it was possible lor! Unlike that time with Wang Lee Hom, the pple ard him dun allow..

I think I've got this uncanny knack for spotting celebs when they're down and out, in their lok kok and casual modes!

So Andy spoke to me, and HELD MY WAIST while we had our pic taken! *blush*

I heard he just got done with attending the Star Awards on sunday.. I know it'd repeat next sunday so i'll be watching it then!

He's going back to Hongkong on SQ! hee
