Dubai

Pics taken in Dubai one and a half weeks back!! Although it's a Middle Eastern country.. but it's actually quite alright to live in..

Food and people are different.. but many things are in English and party scene rocks!

Just missed Paul Van Dyke and Darren Emerson just two nights b4 i arrived..



Woke up for Lunch at Silver Eagle which is a slight walk away from the hotel..




My colleague's hp! I wana get this! My plan with starhub has ended... YES!




Signed for the Desert Tour with Sunflower Tours!

The journey wasn't that long but we made a short stopover at this market place where I bought some sweets and souvenirs...

Ooh.. the sand is lovely and oh so soft! Like those Malibu beach sand only that it's not white!

N YOu can step and the sand will move you downwards.. Like blading in the sand! But slower la

I had to keep my mouth shut though cos it was pretty windy and i didn't want too much of the sand to get in!




Our jeep went up and down those huge ass sand dunes like a roller coaster ride (minus the overturns)! Cool aye...

The driver was pretty good at this! It was super bumpy but really fun!

I looked out of the window and i saw other drivers sliding all the way down SIDEWAYS from the top can!!




Went to a camel farm which really smelled bad and the sand is def not even a quarter as nice...

THen drove to this man-made shelter to rest and relax...

Rode a camel for the first time! It was just a short ten minute ride...




We had FREE buffet dinner, Henna tattoos and shisha! Well it sld be included in the package we paid for...

THe drinks are not free though... N the bondfire reminds me of my girl guide times!




I picked a bottle and asked the guy to put my name amongst the colorful sand..

It was my second time smoking shisha...

I started experimenting different ways of smoking shisha and even tried it through my nose.. it works!

I also realised I could like inhale the smoke inside my body and keep it in for awhile..

So i bluffed my colleagues I could smoke shisha through my ear! They believed me and tried!!

Waha. Damn Funny!!! ooh i'm a cheeky little thing. :P




Had dinner and watched belly dancing..

The lady was quite good and her dress was really pretty!

I liked watching the fire burn and crackle.. Really felt like desert-ish.. ha




She got some tourists from the audience to join her for some songs...




We tried on some Arabian clothing...

It's actually quite hard to wear.. like the cloth is jus this huge piece and wrapped around here and there...

N that's me posing with my new henna tattoo after the plant dye came off...




We got back to bathe and change and went to meet some others to party!

No time to rest but caught a little nap on the jeep back to the hotel..

Had some drinks in a room first before heading out..

Ooh, see this man? We call him "La Bi Xiao Xing"! Cos of his eyebrows! They're real!!







We decided to go to Zinc! Heard it's one of the popular clubs there! N guys basically have to be dressed formally with at least a collared shirt..

Unless you're a crew or are good looking.. ha

N by like 1230am.. there's a long queue waiting to get in! Party timing's kinda like in singapore..

Met a few Koreans flying with Emirates! (Striped tee gal and Gray tee guy) They're so cute and fun!

Sue, the striped tee gal, is absolutely adorable! Plus she dances real well too.. SHe gave me her number so i cld call her the next time i go!





Drinks, games and fun.. :)






Slept in and then went to check out the private beach at Al Mamzar Park..

Saw some high rise buildings which reminded me of SHenton way in Singapore.. but the water's SO much cleaner!

Cos of religious reasons, people are not allowed to show much skin on public beaches..

So got to pay $5 arab dollars to get in the private one where you could don a bikini...

Heard they use to have a soccer and volleyball pitch, but they took it away.. So there's really nothing much to do here but tan, soak in the water and play with seesaws and swings..

Would have seen more in Dubai but unfortunately I had that food poisoning thing after eating KFC in Cairo so.. yea. next time!
