Statue of Liberty & Heidelberg
My leave began yesterday!
BUT I fell ill.. BummEr. WEnt to see the doc and got some medi...
Anyhoo, here was my trip to Frankfurt and New York mid july..
In New York..
Most of the time was spent shopping, didn't meet up with any frens for drinks or anything.. ha
Went to Macys and Jersery Gardens on the first day! whoo hoo
I bought many things but my best buy here was this Guess? bag.. :)

We took the boat the next morning to see the statue of Liberty CLOSE UP! The last few times i was here it was too cold or i was too lazy..
But it's summer now and it's so freaking hot!
At least the skies are clear so we could see the magnificant view of New York city while we were heading out to the island..
We took a few pics and got outta the heat fast!

Came back to New York city and watched this group of street performers...
They were pretty good! Doing back flips and all.. and i caught them in action on my cam!
Century 21! I spent like almost the whole afternoon shopping here..
Got me shades n other stuff.. but not as much as last time..
Things were better in quality n more in quantity before..
Still, it was good!
I got an Andy Warhol bag.. I think his art is interesting..
I read that his art has inspired some fashion designs but haven't actually seen a piece or accessory till now..
I went to Body Shop to get the Olive Body Cream.. I'm SO INTO it now! it smells real good and it rubs on the body well!
The sales person was amazing! He's so gay and i love it!
We chatted and he gave me this BodySHop member ship card which entitles me to a 10% discount wherever!
Then we walked along Madison Avenue where i was so tempted to get sth from Coach but this season's styles were just so-so..
I'll wait till they put it in Macy's! haha.
THen of course we walked along the famous 5th avenue where i did abit more shopping..
N I saw this brand called PUCCI! I mean, Gucci yeah, but PUCCI!??!?!?!
I totally cracked up! It's gotta be pretty famous cos it's ON 5th avenue but i've never heard of it!
Then there's a pic of me, looking way shacked after the days of shopping. My feet were mega aching
In Frankfurt,
We signed up for the Heidelburg tour.. I did the Rhine one before..
Heard this is not bad as well.. Plus it's cheaper than the rest cos the drive's not so far out
Supposed to be some really romantic place in the past or sth like that..
We travelled on the famous AutoBarn highway which has no speed limit!
THe tour guide says of course tt wld mean more accidents happen, but they have got cameras and medics nearby in case of an emergency..
Here we are at Heidelberg! That arc there was a birthday present from the King to his queen..
See those pointed stuff on top? It's part of the gate to block intruders...
N then there's this small little door which opens up for their own pple.. more convenient..
Here are the buildings.. and one of them was built with a defect.. NO stairs!!
This two angels represent the two boys of the head contractor of the buildings..
Apparently they were playing here at the work site and cos of some accident, they died.
Their father didn't want to carry on working cos he was saddened with grief, but he had this dream where his boys told him they wanted him to continue his work.
N so he did, and built this statue of two angels in memory to them. Awww.
The scenary and sights below are so beautiful...
They have the largest barrel of wine in the world! I took a pic with a small one, and barely near a quarter of the huge one!
I climbed up to the top though and took a pic..
You could also have your own label made and stuck on a Riesling wine and i did!
Clowning ard with the stuff while waiting for my label to be done..
We then went to the city area where we could shop, eat and walk..
I bought some souveniers, one of which is a magnet of the 2006 World Cup, and had my carbonara, yumz!
Took the train to town one of the days and shopped bit, didn't buy much..
Got a pair of Birkis! Nice. I can't wear them for too long though, feet will have blisters can?!
Had lunch at the Village and one of the restaurant workers looks TOTALLY like RObbie Williams!!!
Don't you think? :)
