My weekend was pretty busy.. But i didn't enjoy it as much as I would have want to,

cos i was still bit sick and had tummy ache..





Went to a Russian restaurant for buffet dinner..

It was a gf's bday as well as a friend's (guy in yellow tee) farewell..

At least this prepares me for what kinda food i'd see in moscow.. ha

The drink they mixed totally sucks though, supposed to be some nice drink.. but..

N some of the food tasted weird.. the pancake i ordered was not too bad however..

The lady was so friendly! She brought out vodka shots for us to drink!

My friend's bday and he celebrated it at Boat Quay...

I still had sore throat so cldn't eat the fried stuff, wanted to eat the Hongkong noodles opp but got lazy.. ha






The place's pretty chill out and nice.. (yes! other gfs who LOVE their left profile too!)

I haven't actually stepped in before.. it's always like a walk past only kinda thing..




I left to meet some friends at Bala... haven't been there for quite long..

promised the bday boy to head down to zouk after..

It was SO hard to get a cab at that time! argh.

I helped this jap tourist couple get a cab, felt so good after tt..

cos like everyone was jus grabbing them though they have been waiting for so long..




THis guy said he had his hair done after ben stiller in "there's something bt Mary"

But i honestly think he did a bad job.. ha

Went velvet to meet a long time close guy friend.. he's been feeling down.. I hope he'd feel better soon!

then zouk.. Left early cos felt drained..




Met my darling gf to Watch Forbidden City! It was really good!

Really miss performing.. I think i wana like do sth like tt, like a small play sometime!

Now i'd feel different if i visit the real thing in China..




Met one of our hall friends who watched the show too..

We were all in dance together b4, so we started to talk about it over food..

I had 'toad in a hole' from Kaya Toast.. it's jus egg on toast bread with floss..

Another bday and we had dinner at Mirchi, Indian food.. cos he likes..

It was really delicious! I always thought indian food was yumz..







We booked a table at Velvet and had heaps of drinks...

Before heading to zouk for Gabriel and Dresdan!!!! It was also another gf's bday..

It was So crowded i refused to squeeze into the dance floor cos i wasn't feeling too well la..

I think part of the reason is i'm just getting old la.. ha

Some past travel updates..



Went shopping at Xidan and Yaxiu.. I spent all my RMB!

Too bad i didn't change more money.. i didn't think i'd spend at all..

Even got a small cargo bag to put my things in.. it's so cheap!

My best buy's a pretty red winter jacket that i'm gona wear when i go to Moscow..



Ate this korean veg thing.. it was alright..

but the CHinese do not make really yummy korean stuff .. ha




The cabby drove past a part of the Forbidden City..

I'd go tour that place the next time i come beijing..





This is my friend's apartment in Sydney..

It's right in the city so the rent is mega high.. like 2k aussie a month?!?! or is it a week? anyway, wa lau.

though the place is sparsely furnished, the amount he spent on the furniture is super high too..

like that bar chair! his coffee table's nice as well...




His fridge is well stocked up for a bachelor! He mixed my fave malibu and 7-up for me..



Met some other friends at a pub nearby to catch up..

some drove up from melbourne, they were gona head up to nim bin the next day..

it's this alternative living place.. the website looked quite interesting..

had Malibu 7-up again!

Cos there's this huge ass mirror in front of the bed.. ha.

I missed checking out the hilton lounge again! I'm gona do so the next time i come!





This was in narita.. Pepper Lunch there is so much better than in sg..

Thank god some shops were under renovation if not i'd have spent more money!

Still, i'm glad the toiletries shop was opened..

I like their recycling bins.. they're much nicer than sg's.. the covered round bins seem to have other rubbish thrown in them..

They sld follow japan.. clear, then pple would realised wat they sld be throwing inside man.

They tie the mags in the convenient stores to prevent browsing.. smart.

Japs are jus real innovative..




First time i took the public bus there.. cos we've got a shuttle fr hotel to the shopping mall,

but we wanted to head somewhere else first.. the 'village' area where there's more food!





Our new hotel in melbourne! It's jus next to the Crown Casino..

Apparently there're TWO hotels.. one's the crown tower and the other's the crown promenade..

It's really comfortable and the bed's so soft!

Once Upon A Time..

Something happened in Melbourne that really affected me a lot,

besides the lousy fact that I was still feeling ill and the chilly weather there didn’t help.

Like I’ve mentioned b4, only the words and actions of those I care about matter to me.

Being a true blue Cancerian, I can be emotional and sensitive,

but as much as I can be attached, I can detached myself with no qualms at all.

A close gf once said the opposite of love is indifference. N I totally agree.

To me, hate is a form of emotion as well, to care enough to hate.

Indifference however, is devoid of any feelings whatsoever. To not care at all.

Anyhoo, it set me thinking, along with past events, and I wrote.

I write only when I’m feeling pretty down. N I haven’t been writing for quite a long time.

Like my gd fren said, depression aids creativity, a little dose helps with sanity.

It’s kinda therapeutic; like how the sound of the rain, instrumental soothing music, a good sound sleep and the silence of the night are to me.

I’m able to churn out a few simple stanzas within 2-3 mins so it provides a quick relief for me.

Sometimes they rhyme, sometimes they don’t, and sometimes it only makes sense to me.

Cos though I can be direct and expressive, I don’t want just anyone to get or read me.

N they could be those whom with you've gone through weal and woe.

It may hurt for days/weeks/months in a row,
But it shines light on the facts tat you must now surely know.

People can change or perhaps understandings were jus not as strong as dough,

I'm finally $%#^* done with Lasalle!!! NO MORE PART TIME shit for me!!!

Now, i'm a proud owner of an NUS degree and a Lasalle diploma! Pat pat. Whoo hoo.

Unfortunately I got quite sick during the weekend though.. that sucked. I totally hate the feeling.

Haven't blogged for awhile, so the next 2 - 3 postings would prolly be on what had taken place the past month or so..

Whateva bit i remember, cos my ST memory's been failing me recently.. i could list them and it'd stretch real long.. sigh


On 9/11

I watched the 5th year anniversary of 9/11 on CNN when i was in japan..

The one minute silence in memory of those who died.. ALL 2000++ names read out.. I feel for them..

But then again, i think it's President Bush's play on pple's emotions, cos there has been so many bad comments on his war strategies..

Just to prove that terrorism is crap and should be ousted.

Would they have such an elaborate event for those who died in the bali bombings?

After all, the number of pple who died were lesser and less troublesome to read all their names out..


But maybe they thought Australia would be more apt to do so.. Think they had that one year anni thing..

How bt natural events such as the Tsunami and Hurricane Katrina?

The latter especially, cos it's IN american soil..

I kinda feel it's the same thing = pple who died when they least expect it. Sldn't they all get the same sorta respect?

Why are those who died in the NYC twin towers, 'heroes'?? I really don't get it man.

How bout those soldiers who have died cos of THIS war? THey are the true heroes. Sigh.



Speaking of which, I watched Fahrenheit 9/11 quite some time ago, and there's one thing tt stuck on my mind:

Micheal Moore interviewed the senators and all and asked if they thought war was a good thing, they said 'yes',

N he proceeded to ask if they would send their children there.. and they just walked off..

That's how pple are.. when pain and suffering is inflicted on others not near you, they talk like it matters to them.

But it's bull. well, give them benefit of doubt, maybe like 80% is bull.

Then again, Moore interviewed this lady whose son died in the war against terror after 9/11..

She said she encouraged her son to study hard and get a military scholarship cos the family wasn't rich to afford an education for him..

Yet she got SO upset when he was sent abroad to fight for the country and was so against Bush's declaration on war..

BUT BUT BUT, if the govt GAVE u a SCHOLARSHIP to study FOR FREE, you ARE BONDED wat.. You mean, study for free meh?

Like in sg, scholars are bonded in some way also wat.. NOthing's for free my dear.




Sometimes I get really amazed by all the intricate ironies in our world...

If only I could list them all.. but most are just thoughts that come and go..




I got a pedi done at Nail Express! It looked quite pretty and I was in dire need of a foot scrub, so tada!

Saw this Imedeen Advert using Zoe Tay as celebrity endorsement..



UP CLOSE.. n then i noticed/read it..

k, I think it's cool using her as spokesperson.. but

WASSUP with the tacky tagline??

OMG!! DOes Ms Tay even know what other meanings it could have?

Oh well, in a way, the copywriting worked. I'd always rem Imedeen and Ms Tay for this. waha.




My new Holister shirt! I love their tees and jeans!

Set up a flea market stall with my friend to sell some stuff.. No, not in zouk...

Took pics of the stall, but decided i didn't wana post it up..

I saw a colleague of mine, she's got this Blue Label Burs bag! I like! But maybe another design..




This was the push cart stalls we wanted to occupy in Chinatown area...

It's still vacant, but we can't sell our things there cos of the new competitor like Opposite..

Ate yummy claypot frogleg, raw fish.. sedap.




Decided to go do infills for my nails.. They're using a new gel, pretty huh?

I signed a package with them cos i like their services..

I wana do nail art some time again! The staff's like tryin to device a way to paint them on gel nails..

Cos i refuse to do acrylic..




I got bird's nest! Fann Wong's secret.. she really has great skin...

Anyway, it's a healthy tonic, no harm drinking it..




I went to get a hair perm.. someone told me FEP does it real cheap so i tried...

CMI ! I'm sad man.. how to go out like that??!?!

+ their wash and blow is pretty lousy... (Unlike my usual salon.. )

They had NO head massage, the water splashed on my face, the foam got quite near my eyes

and while blowing my hair, the ends kept flicking on my face cos they DUN use a brush!?! Ultimate sai.

But cheap lor, what to do.




Anyhoo, I was flipping thru mags and this seemed kinda weird..

the question was "what's the strangest thing you've done after sex?"

and this Ben guy says " I went to the next room, where my gf was fast asleep, and cuddled her"

ERM, so does tt mean he was having sex with another gal???

I duno man, is it me, or him, or jus sth wrong with the question phrasing..??

I'm TIRED of the comment that I like to take pictures in the same angle.

Well, it's OBVIOUSLY cos I PREFER my left profile??!!

There're many pple out there who have a preference on which side they rather take pics..

Celebrities do, and so do some of my friends and other random blogs i've seen.

Likewise, if anyone finds it 'boring', you can simply choose NOT to view it cos at the end of the day, it's MY BLOG.

So as much as your comments are yours, I have the power to delete them cos I repeat, it's MY BLOG.
