Me going to meet my financial advisor in the noon; Before heading down to Holland Village! The renovation tts goin on now is a major eyesore!




Went to Walas and bumped into a friend there! Familiar not? Talent in several ads...



The two guys above are brothers! I went down to see the one who jus got back from sydney.. but realised so silly, gona meet him like two weeks down anyway when i head over there.. ha.

The gal on the left works for Nokia! (*eyes open wide*) Met her when i met the brothers some months back cos they're always hanging together! My sec sch senior on the right! She now works in a hair salon called Blitz in Holland V and she promised a discount when i go there! So i'm gona get some better perms done in Nov before i leave for holiday!
All of them know each other.. yes yes, once again, proving tt the world is SMALL.. I have COUNTLESS examples man..




Was damn tired and was on way home just before midnight (dun like the extra surcharge!) but diverted the cab to go to Sixth Avenue for some drinks with friends... They enticed me by saying they'd pay S$5 for me to go home later! (am i so cheapskate? yea maybe sometimes! ha) In the end i declined but since they said 'a promise is a promise', i took S$2.50 (yea discounted)





One Night Stand - Stand up comedy by British comedians... Was performed at some pub in Clarke Quay.. It costs me S$50 and i don't think it's worth that amount! We had a few laughs, some slices of free pizzas and a bottle of free booze.. ok Maybe max max S$30 only! It was pretty funny at some bits but some were just .. erm ok.. Brit humour ain't all that la.. There were heaps of caucasians though.. audience participation is impt to boost a comedian's night i think.. Imagine in a pool of quiet Asians.. how to make it...




My darling dear gf who went with me! N another one of our mutual friends whose birthday just passed! The wacky dude who's one of the Comedians! His facial expressions sometimes remind me of Jim Carrey! He sings rather well.. erm.. all those dirty funny songs actually..

N he had those short little silly tunes tt were such teasers... ie:

Quite a few more, but can't rem offhand now...

I wanted to chop chop get a cab back cos i had to wake up early this morn, but NO cabs and all on call and no available ones from the cab hotline! I nearly died. but saw bus stop nearby and decided to hop on one and then WALK home! Yes, i need some exercise, and i saved money! Great!

N I'm damn annoyed with my new neighbour's never ending drilling with his place! He tore the whole place down and wana rebuild it like those Bali villas.. cos apparently he works for duno wat and owns a few there.. It better be nice lor! Torturous n irritating noise.. Grrrr.

Anyway, i was real busy yesterday.. trying to settle work related stuff, my year end plans, as well as my financial coverage! So i went to collect my SISTIC ticket for One Night Stand. N then came back to rush an essay i forgotten about and then went to Holland V to meet a friend who's back from sydney and his friends. Popped over to Sixth Avenue with two other friends for a drink and talk cock session. I was damn beat liao...

Some effective communication theory indicates that 55% of a message is received VISUALLY; 37% VOCALLY (tone of voice) and 8% VERBALLY (use of words). I'm definately like 99% visual kinda person lor!

Inequality of human kind. Takes on many types - gender, race, age, income etc. I think the main underlying factor is cos ALL of us take everyone's existence for granted, in some way or another. Most of us are placed here on earth for a reason. Ok fine. Too big a picture. Let's jus shrink it to the minor stuff we come across in our general daily lives tt leads on to that... (from yrs of wat i've seen and heard)

A) At work R you guilty of goin into the pantry and offering your boss coffee but not your fellow colleagues? Well, then, in my view you SUCK. But i can't blame your sorry arse for adhering to social norms. Of course it'd work in an environment where there's an ego dumb boss and sucker smart employee. Survival of the fittest they say. Ooh i hate politics. Never did, never will. It exists EVERYWHERE you look n i've seen it since eons ago. I choose to ignore it but i don't doubt its presence. For me, it's a MOOD and not a RANK thing, i offer WHEN i feel like it, not WHO. This mentality may or may not have worked for me, but at least, TO ME, i'm keeping it REAL. N somehow, in the bottom of my heart, i think THIS will prevail. Yea, you MAY take a longer time to climb up the ladder in some cases, but you won't falter cos you've got a strong base of principles. I don't CARE if you are genuinely capable or not, I DUN EAT THIS SHIT. Anyway, truly capable pple don't resort to unscrupulous means. But they may call this street smarts, sorry hor, NO lor. I CONDEMN you two-headed snakes!

B) In relationships (all kinds) Confirm will take for granted lor! WHY? Cos NO ONE has an equal amount of affinity for the other. There will be someone liking/ cherishing the other party more. Relationships, Friendships, whatever. As much as my idealistic side protests, i know this is true. Assumptions set in and when not clarified, will lead to many misunderstandings and brokened r/s. Must try to clear things up, but never push it. When the party being taken for granted, wakes and realises, there's the start of the pitt fall. N sldn't pple still have their own space after bein in a r/s? Like still hang out with frens all.. Most pple when getting attached Disappear n i find tt damn sad. Two pple sld be TWO wholes when getting together, not the 'you complete me' shit, then break how? DIE huh. Thus, as i grow older, i've learnt to appreciate those pple whom i truly call FRIENDS more than ever. Everyone has a set of standard guidelines for whom they regard as so and I do too. Anyway, this category is far too complex to really head in.. so ya.

Thus is the very simplistic view of most asians in our society. Lack of guts and balls to say what they mean and feel, shut up and kill overselves due to societal views and pressures. WE SLD REALLY BREAK FREE FROM THIS RUT! I don't mean we sld jus be wild animals and roar but like there sld always be room for discussion, subtly but surely. We should not cower in front of authority but show our confidence when DUE. Cos if people see you can MAKAN (eat) they SURE makan! Be firm and stand up for yourselves! (Btw, i feel sorry for those insecure shitheads tt think they're so great while hiding under some name or another else's. If you're there, you're there, dun need to HAO LIAN one) Besides, i'm a strong believer that respect is EARNED. If kena found out wrong, dun TAICHI (push) here or there, just sincerely say SORRY.. very hard IZZIT? If that's hard for you, you're NOT MEANT FOR BIG THINGS. Period. N i ABSOLUTELY DETEST those people who flow with the wind.. Dun you have A MIND OF YOUR OWN? Be yourself but The key is to ADAPT, BE FLEXIBLE, not a PUSHOVER. N pls hor, those pple who like to act smart in front of others whom you THINK are not as smart, you can really eat shit and die. Cheap thrill sibo?

Oh, i could go on forever, it's a never ending debate. (no worries, i'm not feeling pent up or what.. i'm jus sickened by behaviors of some pple but I SAY WHAT I WANT cos it's MY BLOG)

Casino! I've been to Brisbane thrice; first time i took the train to Gold Coast, Surfers' Paradise, then the last time i jus shopped along the city street! Now i visit the Casino.. not many people there at this time though.. N alas cannot take pics again! I hate this rule! But i sneaked two. ha.

I don't like gambling! IF i do, i always have a limit of how much i'm willing to lose. It's better than going on and on with no direction. Tsk.

Friiii DaE & Nite

I realised alot of gals ard me are wanting to fly... I guess diff pple have diff perceptions with the job.. Some like those who wana join would think it's great with the apparent easy money and travelling? But some think it's a job with no proper future? Well, ALL I SAY is that All jobs have its pros and cons.. just see how you DEAL with it, and chuck away the unhappy and keep the happy! It depends on what YOU want in life. You must find out what it is YOU like and enjoy, NOT hearing someone talk about something superficially and that influences you. What others may like, you may not and vice versa. Go READ up, TALK to pple and LEARN.

Let me tell you sth tt kinda pisses me off:
1) When i was taking psychology - it's like 'OH, so you can READ my mind ar?'
2) When i was in advertising - 'Oh so cool, you get to Be in ads ar? So fun'
3) When i wanted to do PR - 'Oh, you sure can, you got plenty of friends and you can socialise!'
4) When i'm flying now - 'So glam the job, wat's so hard with serving coffee/tea? N can meet alot of business men!'

This to me, just shows me how D**B some pple can get. Pls either shut up or go find out what the jobs truly entail before rattling as though you know what it is. It's fine being unsure (cos not as thou i noe alot) but dun be a smart alec easily exposed. N i'm not easily impressed.

I shall tell you this NOW. The gist of it.
1) Psychology DOES not Mean you CAN read pple's minds! It's when someone (prolly an expert of the field or sth) comes up with a hypothesis and then uses MATH to predict a general behaviour of people.
2) Being in advertising DOES not necessarily mean you're in the ads! You HELP develop the ads, the area depending on which dept you're in.. dealing with clients, copywriting or graphics etc.. N it is a high adrenaline job with deadlines etc! I actually think this job requires more PR skills than PR!
3) PR requires alot of good writing skills. Doesn't mean you can socialise means you can write well hor! You're supposed to present a good image of the company tt hires you to the public in write ups etc...
4) Flying is ... complicated. Not something i can put in two lines. You can think whatever you want just not like how i mentioned in the above. I shall keep mum cos it's not professional as of now. Ha. But i like it for reasons only myself wld know.

Also i realise pple like to do FUN jobs.. well, it's fine if you like it and have passion for it.. but doin it for other reasons are just so darn shallow. Well, my pt of view is as such.

Popped down to liquid room to check out the Sublime event there... There's this club in Sydney called "Home" and it's sublime night on fridays! Music there is damn shiok! But last nite it wasn't really as good as in Aus... Bumped into a sec sch fren (damn long never see her ard) and Met some uni frens there..




Here's my friend! He's was one of the djs spinning for the night, it's more of his fren's event thou! Long time no see! He used to spin at Lola at One Fullerton but he just came back from the dj-ing in Jakarta! Cool! He got me on the guest list if not my frens could not head in with me! Sweet.. Yes i'm a member but lousy one.. ha. But i cldn't find the boss of LR there.. he'd always give me free drinks!

I had an interesting conversation with a lecturer at school today.. We spoke on human analysis and he's readin up books on such topics these days (no he doesn't teach that)... I'm quite like this kinda thing too! I used to dream about being a criminologist.. I always thought that human personalities were complicated and I thought of visiting serial killers in Texas and interview them! Love books on non fiction murder cases or biographies.. But i haven't been reading much in a long long while.. Tsk.

Anyway he said that if a child looked like his mum, will think and act like the dad.. or the other way around! Of course this is his own general conclusion, NOT from the books he has read. Still, Hmmm....

Today i was in a good mood during the day but irritable on the way home...
Sometimes ar.. there're really damn ugz locals around man...

Firstly i took the lift and NO one was initiative enough to hold the door for others (till i stepped in of course, due to the meticulous training i have)
Then cos i REFUSED to take a cab since it's damn ex during peak hour, i took the train. While i was on it, it kinda had some technical prob so it was delayed for abit (how sway). There was this ABC (american born chinese) dude who suddenly started speaking to two Caucasians seated next to me, about his travels to Thailand and that he returning to L.A and asked where they were going. It's so spontaneous! I like this kinda chatter so i joined in! In Sg, if you suddenly speak to pple, they'd be like shocked and walk away etc.. not garang leh..

I had to change stations and this BIG MALAY GUY (hey i'm not racist, it so happened to be) walked so DARN SLOW in front of me that ALL the empty seats got snatched up! Not that i was lazy to remain standing or wat but it was such a long way back plus long day plus i was irritated just having that man in my vision so i got off the next station and guess what? TOOK A CAB!! ha.

I specifically told the taxi driver HOW to get to my place so it's like chopchop, lesser traffic lights, BUT he still made mistake and we had to wait longer than expected at the junctions. I mean, not tt i really really mind, but it's STILL xian right?! But seriously the jam here is considered quite ok liao.. it's TEN MILLION times worse in countries like India, Thailand and China! N got more pollution too.. During peak hours in the states also quite jialat..

I'm damn sian! I realised i got the date mixed up for the Armin gig in L.A! It's on the 8th of Oct, not 4th! Argh. All that i've done has come to nought! So near yet so far.. :(

The individual departments went on stage to bow after the show, and i ACTUALLY WAVED. yes i did! natural reaction i guess? I heard someone call my name, so i waved. can't believe i did it.. everyone was amused.. but maybe tts just me. haha

Yes i didn't blog the last few days. Do i have to everyday? NO.

I was feeling a whole array of negative emotions: anger, disappointment and frustration. (Sometimes i don't know where and how to start typing bt life and it's conversations with me.. I wish i could write stories..)
Anyway, I don't feel comfortable typing thoughts that are too personal online, (that all goes to my little black book where i open up some of the unlocked treasures in my mind when i can) and i also keep a diary on my travels!)... Anger maybe at self, others but whatever, i really don't know. Frustration is due to some admin issues at work; there R times when humans and computers DO NOT complement each other.

Also cos i've been busy rushing to get some stuff done. Plus not enough sleep and added stress. I need time, more time.

But perhaps it's all JUST PMS. Bite me.

I need to relax... my nephews dropped by again and played with them for abit. N I bought a DKNY red colored bag. After taking it out again and havin a look at it in my room, I decided I don't really like it much. My fave brands are Christian Dior, Guess? and top of the list, COACH! (It's CONFIRM PLUS CHOP N GUARANTEE CHEAPER IN THE STATES!!) But I just felt i wanted a bag to put my bulky Panasonic Lumix F1 shiny red camera. Definately impulse. Again.

It suddenly dawned on me how much aquarian affinity I have, and somehow, it pleases me. Like how my gf has an affinity with Scorpios, likewise I have with Aquarians. You think not perhaps, since I am of Water, and a Crab. The inner sensitive softie with a tough to crack exterior. Water, which takes no shape but has the most number of shapes in the scientific terms of matter. But who cares?

How is it possible i'm still capable of thinkin when i feel cigs slowly wasting my brain away?

FREE jeans!

I woke up with a tummy ache! So i didn't head down to meet the boss of GAS and the media people in the morn.. OH UTT (MTV VJ) is coming to our fashion show!




Feeling better now so Tried taking my right profile! Had enough comments on me with the 'same look in pics' and yeah i sld try new things in life! ha.

Went fitting at Gas in Paragon today.. EACH of the organiser for the fashion show has a FREE PAIR OF JEANS!! BEST! (WassuP with people and free stuff?? ha ) I chose a pair which was S$200.. My original choice was this S$260 one... but decided i'd take a flair than a straight cut one..





Then went to DXO for some rehearsal thing so the models would know their placing tmr.. we're the subs... heh. This how it looks like in the day and in brighter light..




My dad's XX bday! (actually it's on 16th, same as LKY but the show is on so celebrate today..) We went for Japanese buffet at Himaru, yumz! Super full! I got a cake from Paragon earlier the day and a CK full white shirt for my dad!

My funky family! That's my TWIN BROTHER! YES, i'm the older half of a pair of fracternal twins. When my family's good, it's great! But when not.. err ar.. ... ... ha.

My hall friends whom I went to Heineken Green Room sessions with! I'm a member (like i said b4, very ez to sign up for it la) plus my friend is organising the event, so we had many invites!

Couldn't take more pics cos not allowed... They had damn gorgeous models taking polaroids for us! I took with friends!

There were alot of people.. and quite many local celebs...
All in all I think the event was covered pretty well and my friend did good! Good on him!
