Guess WAT, folks??!!! I REALISED I've BEEN to Nanjing lor!!! PER PER.
China's history is interesting! But it's so much better saying n hearing it in Chinese!

I did this China tour 3 yrs back and i covered many places! But i still took 130 pics or so! ha.
This is the BEST time to be in Nanjing cos the weather is PERFECT! Not too cold (feb/mar) and not so hot (july/aug)! N Nanjing's National Day is on 1st Oct! So everyone was still in happy spirits!




YES i saw Wang Lee Hom! I didn't recognise him at first cos he was wearing a cap and like very casually dressed.. then i suddenly stopped and went like "aren't you Wang Lee Hong?" and he went like yes.. so i started blabbering to him, wanted to take pic but his manager didn't allow.. so Lee Hom offered to sign an autograph instead, addressed to ME! Sweet.

He's going to another part of China for a concert.. forgot which state.. ha. N i asked him the DUMBEST question.. i said, " do you understand Chinese?" WELL! I asked cos i was corresponding with him in English and then this gal spoke to him in Chinese and he din reply mah.. Then b4 he answered, i went like, "oh DUH.." haha




Some of my colleagues this time round.. Using pimple cream AGAIN! Someone told me to drink Marigold Yogurt Drink -Passion Fruit and Pear! Damn good for skin! I'm GOIN TO TRY!!




Windsor Finery Plaza! I forgot it's name in Chinese.. but it's damn shiok to shop here la! Actually China is one country to get stuff too! N it's CHEAP!! Streets here ain't that clean and it's congested with cars and bicycles... But i'd still eat their road side stalls cos it's yumz! They tell us to check for duno-wat b4 we eat.. i can't rem liao.. the rest buy, i just buy too.. ha




My ABSOLUTE FAVE guy colleague!!! :) :) :) He sayangs me and i pat-pat him and 'that's the way the cookie crumbles'! (Bruce Almighty) Dammit i haven't been taking funny faced pics for so long i jus duno how to anymore! N that pic is one of the MANY teapots i see ard in China.. but this set is in my room so just take la...




Chanel bag!! Oh yes, i got it in Nanjing.. it's a FAKE. I'll admit it, what's wrong with getting fake stuff? I dun mind, still can use wat! Plus i like variety and i DUN HAVE alot of money to get all real stuff! Most imptly, must carry off what you buy!

Here's this hexagonal shaped sunglasses! NEVER seen one designed like that before! But i didn't get it, doesn't mean unique then look nice on me ma! Ok only la..




Fu1 Zi3 Miao4 - HERE's the place i came to where i realised i've been to nanjing b4! Damn familiar.. N so i took pics at the same places again.. haha. Here you can't really bargain as much.. but the ORIGINAL dvds (or so they say) are way cheap so i got myself a few! Can't buy too many sekali get checked..




Here's where we had our dinner!! We ordered this set thingie, which came in MINI slices, plates with utensils! DAMN CUTE LA!!




Above two pics are at Sun Yat Sen's Memorial.. and YES, i came here the other time too.. and i climbed the 372 steps again! When you look up, you don't see the flat platforms, just the steps, and it's vice versa when you look down!

Apparently Sun found this place to be a very good spot thus he was buried here later. Seaview front, which meant a prosperous future; Mountains at the back meaning strong reliance; Tiger statue on the right and Dragon hill on the left.


The bottom two pics are showing some king's tomb. Apparently, this is not just China's property, but the WORLD'S. The walls are preserved SINCE eons ago! So even if there's a war right, enemies are NOT allowed to bomb this area! How best! Safest place liao! Ok, this creature has a turtle body, lion's head, phoenix's claws and snake's tail.. it's the 9th son of the king, who was the naughtiest of the lot and was punished to carry the tomb of his father.. ok lor, he must have been REAL BAD.




A jade factory! Different one from the one i went to last time.. I shall educate you on what i've learnt..

1) There are two types of jade: Hard (6.5+) ones used for jewellery and Soft (3.5-4.5) ones used for carvings.
2) The healthier you are, the lighter the jade will become if it's worn for a long time

3) To test the authencity of the jade, there are three ways:
a) it should be transparent under light
b) the sound should be bright and clear when struck with a coin
c) if used to scratch glass, glass sld have stratches, but not the jade

The lion looking carvings with the right leg forward is to 'bring wealth' and the left leg one is to 'keep wealth'. The lady telling us bt the jade managed to put a bangle that is like damn small thru my hand! She said when wearing jade, must 'go with the flow'. She suggested i buy it cos i 'got fate' with this jade. but i didn't! Thou i DID buy another piece of jade (brazillian) and spent a BOMB!





We had a hearty meal for lunch! Took a pic with Tour Guide, Mr Cai! Next time go China look for him! Took a pic outside HAO JI hotel with the chicken, since i'm born in that year.. ha

WHY are the toilets here all squatting type? I DUN LIKE TO squat! Hmm actually i love to squat.. my friends can bear witness to that.. i'm squatting everywhere! BUT tt DUN MEAN i like to squat in the toilet lor! grrr..





Yangtze River and Tower Bridge - Been here last time too! Spend money seeing mostly the same thing! my fault la. argh. This is the third longest river. The bridge is the exceptional thing. It links to Beijing. Was not easy to build in those times back. Technology was not advanced and the water was deep and fast. Tts the minature model of it, shrunk exactly 300 times.

This SHI FU is an expert in drawing inside glass ware! you've got to know how to draw/write opposite, so when others look at it from outside, they'd see it the right way! N no mistakes allowed cos damn hard to like clean. If wash then like it'd be all gone.. I can never do this! I'd kill my eyes, lose patience, and just smash the glass! ha






The Nanjing Massacre Memorial Site - Used to be charged per entry but now it's FREE cos Japan refused to acknowledge some happenings of the massacre. Nanjing used to be the capital of China till after this, then it became Beijing

It's damn solemn inside. I was reading everything and i really felt for the pple then. THe japs were really cruel and inhuman!! Those are the bones excavated and those footsteps are from survivors who were still alive when this site was found.. Not allowed to take many pics inside..





Zhang Yuan Palace - Emperor Qianlong would stay here when he travels to Nanjing for work. The narrow stretch of walking path has many carved symbols. Coins mean wealth, Butterfly means beauty.. etc.. I jus kept stepping on these two! The rock looking stuff's supposed to be damn ugly. like the more unproportional they grow, the better. This hut here, thou not enclosed, it would keep you warm during the winter. Something to do with heat tranmission from duno where la.. but ingenious apparently.

Ok my cam batt completely DIED here so i cldn't snap anymore.. There were other things ard the palace and a show they put up for us as well. My colleagues got called up to participate, it's damn funny! I bought some other stuff here as well. Didn't put on the robes to take pics since my cam died.. was sian.




Peking Duck!! SLURP!!! (courtesy of my friend's cam) Didn't go for a massage which i had planned for.. never mind next time! Rot in my room watched dvds thru the night!

Oh my hotel has history too.. The previous owner used to work as a shoe boy in this area, then he went to Nanyang cos of war. He came back 37 yrs later and built this hotel on the same spot. It has 37 floors! But now it's government owned due to some lack in foresight. oh well.

I just think Chinese are real good at talking till everything has some sort of meaning and makes sense!
