Johannesburg

Hey folks!!

It's been a while but slowly but surely i'll be getting lesser busy, at least till the end of the month...

Don't know what July lies in store yet..

Here are my pics from my trip to Johannesburg like 3 weeks back!! Finally!!

This is I as a passenger on the way up to Jolburg!

I watched "Match Point" and like half of "The Promise".. Slept pretty much of the 10+ hour flight..

I've been here once b4, but now my company has changed hotel.. it's still nice but i prefer the location of the previous one..

N i broke my Tommy Hilfiger foundation!!! I love the color and how it blends..

Unfortunately they're not producing it no more so i'm sad!!

Slept bit and had dinner with colleagues at Ocean Basket, there were like 9 of us...

Do you know you can get nice n real diamonds at Jolburg for a MUCH cheaper price??

But I'm not like into them yet so no pt spending the money...

Bumped into two colleagues and found out these two Taiwanese guys kinda picked them up and were lurking with them.. ha

Walked ard the shopping mall nearby but didn't get anything cos it was closing..

Heard it ain't safe to be out late at night here anywayz..

Went to the Safari tour the next day...

Passed by some shabby houses, but these represent like half of the kind of places the locals stay in..

Not good living conditions ay..

Acting cute with the stuff toys at the Park..

Bill tong! my friend introduced me this snack and it's really nice! i love chewing on it, but me jaws ache after.. ha

We were allowed to enter the cubs' den and play with them baby hyenas and lions..

I was afraid to touch them at first, but with the guide's assurance and me insisting she stayed near me, i did!

There were ostriches, zebras and giraffes as well!

We could pay bit of money and feed the giraffes, but i didn't want to.

I did climb up and watch this lady feed one of them though.. gross! Its tongue was all over her hand and i saw its saliva drip out!

That behind the fence is a lazy cheetah...

That's our tour guide and I... Yes, I have this little fear of taking pics with 'wild' animals..

Above left is a Geebak (sth like tt) antelope, the tour guide drove us pretty near..

We wind our windows and took pics...

I couldn't spot ANY spotted hyenas nor cheetahs.. think they're all sleeping cos it's afternoon..

BUT! We managed to catch the lion's feeding!! How lucky.. cos they get fed only like once a week..

It's amazing watching these creatures move and eat.. We sat in the van and jus observed...

There was this time when the lionesses were fighting over a piece of meat and sharing the meal, growling as they chew..

N also a fight b/w two lionesses for the last piece of meat left, and then the winner jus took off with it at some other part of the field..

Walked through Montecasino to get to...

The Bird Garden!

Saw huge hot air balloon, and many kinds of birds.. Took many pics but shan't post them all up..

MOst of them were not in captivity and let loose..

There were turtles and snakes (in transparent cages of course) as well..

N some other animals whose names i do not remember.. ha

Back to Montecasino where I gambled bit and went to check out the little roller blading rink..

Had some nice crepes as well! We weren't hungry cos we had some snacks to munch on the bus earlier..

After showering, we went to source for a dinner venue...

There's the Nelson Mandela Statue! Can you see it? quite dark huh..

We found this place! (forgot the name) but they sell a fusion of food.. east and west..

THE FOOD'S FABULOUS!!! Blogging jus makes my mouth watery!

This is oyster shot, like AN oyster soaked in vodka NEAT!

N that creamy escargot!! Shiok.

This is what we had..

Green curry crayfish with rice, Beef steak with fries and Swordfish with potato!!

Last but not least, I ordered my FAVE CREME BRULEE!!!!!
